JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Scanning and building report and maintain CMDB / Asset Management (BMC ADDM) and have knowledge of HP uCMDB tool.
- Solve critical technical issues, emergency troubleshooting and post-mortem analysis and provide RCA and improvements.
- Manage and support the upgrade on new system, deployment and maintain smooth system operations.
- To provide day-to-day operations, administration, tuning and capacity management of midrange system to ensure good performance.
- To resolve all midrange system incidents and issue within agreed timeline.
- To perform operation fault analysis and provide recommendation for improving the production batch window.
- Good in scripting and have good knowledge of Oracle 11 / SQL DB’s.
- To automate the manual reports and create ad-hoc requests on customer demand using DB queries.
- Strong technical background and good knowledge of CMDB & Asset Management / Tooling products (BMC TrueSight Operations Management, Microsoft SCOM, Nagios, Netgain, CA and other enterprise / open source tools available in market).
- To develop and maintain procedures for administration and monitoring of all midrange systems.
- To develop and maintain Disaster Recovery procedures for identified servers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- ITIL Certified.
- Knowledge and administration experience in OS Operation– Windows, Linux nd AIX (Solaris / HP-UX) with at least 3-5 years’ experience.
- Able to provide technical support on Unix and/or Windows Server Platforms and should be able to resolve scan failure issues which arise due to Unix / Win fault.
- Knowledge in VMWare is preferable.
- Good understanding and with passion to learn broad knowledge on IT infrastructure management, network, operation systems and databases.
- Able to perform multitasking, works under pressure and at the same time deliver high quality result against tight deadlines.
- Good presentation, documentation, interpersonal and problems solving skills
- Committed to deadline and with good communication.
- Must be flexible with standby requirement.
- Must be able to read / write and speak Cantonese and English.
