JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the designated compliance officer for the company registered with LFSA.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures and controls in line with the regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct periodic compliance risk assessments and monitor the company's compliance posture.
- Review and provide guidance on all legal documentation and agreements to ensure legal compliance.
- Provide training and support to employees on compliance and legal matters.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with cross-functional teams across the group of companies.
- Represent the company in regulatory and legal proceedings as required.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations and industry developments and communicate the implications to the management and other stakeholders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in compliance and legal affairs, preferably in insurance or related field.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements, including those of LFSA/ Bank Negara and other relevant authorities
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
