Company Overview 

 

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Internal Control & Compliance Manager to lead and strengthen our internal control systems and ensure regulatory compliance across all business operations. This role is critical in supporting sustainable growth, risk mitigation, and operational excellence in a dynamic, project-driven environment. Working location in Kulai, Johor. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Internal Control Development & Oversight: 

    Reinforce internal control mechanisms through structured projects, supported by external consultants. Continuously monitor and enhance internal control systems to ensure operational integrity.

     

  •  Training & Awareness: Conduct internal control and compliance training programs for employees to promote awareness and adherence.
  • Process Digitalization: Collaborate with the IT team to digitalize business processes, minimizing human error and rule violations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and improve compliance with local and international regulations relevant to the industry.
  • Contract Review & Risk Management: Establish and manage a robust contract review mechanism to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Whistleblower Management: Receive, investigate, and respond to whistleblower reports in a confidential and ethical manner.

     

     

     

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance and related industry.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian and global regulatory frameworks; ability to advise and uphold compliance standards even in senior-level discussions.
  • Hands-on approach to troubleshooting operational issues from a compliance perspective.
  • High ethical standards and ability to act autonomously in ensuring compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills—open, logical, and empathetic—to integrate smoothly into new environments.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, especially in adapting to new or changing regulations.
