Our client is a furniture manufacturer, and the ideal candidate for this Product & Industrial Design Executive is having a strong skill in CAD (SolidWorks) for furniture design.
Working location is in Senawang, fully onsite basis.
Job Responsibilities
Design & Innovation - Apply broad industrial and product design skills to develop new and enhance existing furniture products for various markets.
Design Evaluation & Strategy - Assess and recommend design factors such as materials, cost, production methods, ergonomics, safety, sustainability, and market trends to ensure strategic alignment.
Technical Design & CAD Execution - Provide technical guidance in creating detailed 2D/3D drawings and diagrams using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks), including fit, clearance, and interference checks.
Collaboration & Documentation - Coordinate with internal departments and clients throughout the product realization process, manage design documentation, and support special projects while ensuring confidentiality and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field, with 1–4 years of experience in designing, preferably within the furniture industry.
Strong ability to sketch and produce detailed technical drawings, with solid proficiency in CAD software — especially SolidWorks.
Hands-on experience in designing and manufacturing furniture using materials such as metal, steel, wood, and plastic, with a good understanding of their properties and applications.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers and cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in English and Chinese as an added advantage.
