A regional leader in engineered rainwater management systems is seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple construction projects. The role involves managing documentation, verifying material compliance, coordinating inspections, and ensuring adherence to project specifications. The Project Manager will also plan resources, monitor budgets, enforce safety standards, and drive productivity improvements. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in engineering or building services, at least 5 years of construction experience, and strong proficiency in reading technical drawings and communicating in English.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including emails, instructions, and changes for quality control and reporting.

  • Review and verify material submissions for client approval to ensure suitability for project use.

  • Coordinate with the QC Department for periodic inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents.

  • Evaluate shop drawings and submissions for alignment with project specifications.

  • Guide Project Engineers in preparing documentation that supports construction activities and addresses non-conformance issues.

  • Ensure proper inspection and testing procedures are followed on-site, with client sign-off.

  • Plan and allocate labor, materials, equipment, and transport according to project needs.

  • Manage the activities of Project Engineers, including coordination, site visits, and documentation.

  • Recommend alternative installation methods to enhance productivity.

  • Ensure installers are adequately trained to meet quality and production standards.

  • Implement and maintain health and safety programs, with support from the Health & Safety Coordinator.

  • Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring adherence to labor and material cost parameters.

  • Submit and follow up on monthly progress claims to ensure timely payment.

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the building construction industry.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong understanding of construction drawings.

  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
