This role will support the portfolio of interconnects commodity which includes connectors and custom mechanical parts (cable assemblies). The ideal candidate will have a background in sourcing, procurement, and supply chain and will be responsible for driving supplier performance, reducing total cost of ownership, and optimizing the supply chain process
Job Responsibilities
- Creating and implementing a global strategy and collaboration model for interconnects which includes connectors and custom mechanical parts (cable assemblies).
- Building relationships on a global, regional, and local scale to become a trusted advisor with collaborators in order to ensure goals are aligned and achieved.
- Identifying areas of opportunity and completing activities to fulfil cost, process, efficiency, and sustainability goals.
- Leading procurement negotiations, source-to-contract and supplier management activities which generate best-in-class outcomes.
- Monitor market trends and assess potential risks and opportunities.
- Building excellent supplier relationships whereby procurement is seen as a key decision-maker.
- Continuing to stay updated on industry, market, and business standard methodologies and new technologies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 7 years experience in a strategic Procurement role within a multinational organization; prior experience in managing the specialized commodities would be highly advantageous
