Commodity Manager (Indirect - CapEx, Equipment, Supporting Utilities)
A world-leading medical products and solutions company in Kedah is looking for professional with experience in commodity and supplier management as part of their procurement team.
You will be the key person in developing and implementing sourcing strategies for assigned commodities to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for sourcing and procuring assigned commodities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of commodities
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve favorable agreements for the organization.
- Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with commodity sourcing, such as supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and geopolitical issues
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in commodity management
- Strong sourcing and negotiation skills
- Analytical and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
