JOB DESCRIPTION
Increase CI (or Operational Excellence) maturity within the plant by acting as a change agent leader in instilling a problem solving and CI culture at each site. Lead reporting and root-cause analysis. Lead or coach focused improvement activities and teams to improve results like safety, quality, delivery, cost, etc. Lead continuous improvement events such as Kaizens, 5S, Kanban, Root Cause, and other CI efforts to solve problems and eliminate production waste. Facilitate and co-facilitate various CI related workshops and training events. Ensures that CI training, tools, test practices and resources are available and understood by employees at all levels and are being utilized appropriately and effectively.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Process Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or equivalent education and experience.
Years of Experience: 5+ years’ experience leading Lean Transformations and Six Sigma in manufacturing operations, educating others on Lean principles and deployment planning.
3+ years hands on experience using modern Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methods (LEAN, TPS, SQDCI,DMAIC, DMADV, etc.) and deploying transactional lean, manufacturing lean, and various reduction methodologies.
Knowledge of manufacturing process improvement techniques
Advanced knowledge of machines and tools and their designs and uses
