Japanese Speaking Factory Manager
A Japanese company, well established and ISO certified for precision parts and plastics parts manufacturing located in Ipoh is seeking for a suitably qualified, dynamic and highly motivated candidates to lead the company to greater heights.

 
Key Responsibilities of a Japanese Speaking Factory Manager: 
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, quality control, and supply chain teams to optimize processes and resolve technical issues.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and control production costs to achieve budgetary goals and maximize profitability.
  • Drive initiatives for process optimization, waste reduction, and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Communicate effectively with Japanese stakeholders and headquarters to align strategies and report on operational performance.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management regarding production metrics, KPIs, and project updates.
Key Requirements:
  • Fluency in Japanese (spoken and written) is essential, with proficiency in English considered a strong asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in precision parts or plastics manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of ISO quality management systems and experience maintaining ISO certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
