Key Responsibilities of a Japanese Speaking Factory Manager:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, quality control, and supply chain teams to optimize processes and resolve technical issues.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and control production costs to achieve budgetary goals and maximize profitability.
- Drive initiatives for process optimization, waste reduction, and lean manufacturing practices.
- Communicate effectively with Japanese stakeholders and headquarters to align strategies and report on operational performance.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management regarding production metrics, KPIs, and project updates.
Key Requirements:
- Fluency in Japanese (spoken and written) is essential, with proficiency in English considered a strong asset.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in precision parts or plastics manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of ISO quality management systems and experience maintaining ISO certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.).
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
