A Malaysia-based logistics company specializing in integrated door-to-door forwarding, transportation, cargo handling, and warehousing services is seeking a Programmer to join its expanding technology team.
In this role, you will play a critical part in developing, testing, and maintaining in-house systems, mobile applications, and system integrations that support seamless operations across the company’s logistics network. This position requires strong programming capability, analytical thinking, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain in-house systems and mobile applications to support business operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify, analyze, and resolve system issues and user requirements.
- Optimize databases to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Build, enhance, and maintain APIs and system integrations, including EDI and XML data exchange.
Participate in system enhancement and digitalization projects, delivering solutions aligned with business needs. - Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including code, system workflows, and user guides.
- Support system deployment, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Requirements & Technical Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in software development or system programming.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills with strong attention to detail and documentation quality.
Technical Skills (Required)
- Programming Languages: PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL scripting, Perl, jQuery
Database Management: MySQL, MariaDB, PHPMyAdmin - Frameworks & Tools: Bootstrap, Android Studio (Flutter), GitHub (version control)
Integration & Data Exchange: EDI, XML, API Integration
Technical Skills (Added Advantage)
