Technical Sales Manager
An experienced sales technical manager is sought by a renowned MNC in Penang Science Park to join their team. The role entails overseeing sales activities with a technical focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all activities within the Sales Department.
- Manage the conceptual design of proposals, conduct costing calculations, and prepare quotations.
- Determine commercial terms, agreements, contracts, and delivery schedules.
- Facilitate internal technical discussions for customized solutions with the engineering team.
- Engage in discussions with suppliers regarding technical specifications and quotations.
- Monitor the progress of projects and assess performance.
- Assist in customer Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Arrange logistics related to sales and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
- Manage internal sales within the group.
- Provide reports to headquarters on sales and RFQ activities.
- Execute marketing activities, particularly in the Asia Region.
- Fulfill tasks outlined in the Integrated Management System.
- Undertake other tasks assigned by superiors or the General Manager.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and implement appropriate control measures to mitigate adverse effects.
- Manage scheduled wastes in accordance with Scheduled Wastes Management Procedure requirements.
- Maintain facilities related to emergency preparedness and response with due care.
Key Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in a similar field or position.
- Excellent sales and communication skills (English, Mandarin, and Malay).
- Proficiency in automation and awareness of market trends.
- Willingness to travel both locally and overseas.
